New nut head Pokémon turns into Ditto or Chikorita in Pokémon GO

A never-before-seen Pokémon with a nut-like head has been leaked via the Pokémon GO network traffic. There are currently no substantial details regarding the unconfirmed Pokémon, but several images of it and its Shiny form are making the rounds online. Furthermore, Niantic has accidentally included the unannounced Pokémon in Pokémon GO. For some reason, the mysterious Pokémon turns into Ditto or Chikorita:
