Video: Masahiro Sakurai explains why Isabelle is Not an Echo Fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Nintendo recently announced that Isabelle from the Animal Crossing series is joining the roster as a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This brings the tally of unique playable characters – excluding Echo Fighters – to 68. According to the fighting game’s listing, the total number of playable characters is 71 – which means that three more are to be revealed. However, according to director Masahiro Sakurai, further character reveals and announcements will not be as frequent leading up to the game’s launch on December 7.
