All current Super Smash Bros. series amiibo figures are compatible with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and any fighter’s amiibo figure from other series will also be supported. There are several characters that don’t have an amiibo yet, such as Pichu and Pokémon Trainer, but you can rest assured that Nintendo will be releasing amiibo for them as well. Other veteran fighters that will have new amiibo created include Ice Climbers, Snake, Wolf and Young Link. For the first time, Ridley, Inkling and Wolf are coming to the Super Smash Bros. series of amiibo and will be released alongside the game on December 7. Meanwhile, original Super Smash Bros. amiibo are also being re-released for $12.99 each. To get a look at the updated Nintendo Switch packaging for Pikachu and Mario, check out the image above.
