Pokémon GO’s Pokémon Day 2019 event takes place from February 26 at 1 p.m. PST to February 28 at 1 p.m. PST

Celebrate Pokémon Day in Pokémon GO. Special-event Pikachu and Eevee, along with other Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region, are the stars of this two-day event.

Pokémon Day commemorates the day that the original Pokémon games were released in Japan way back in 1996. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Pokémon that first appeared in those early adventures are taking center stage in Pokémon GO’s Pokémon Day event.

From February 26, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. PST to February 28, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. PST, Pokémon that featured early on in the journeys of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue will appear more frequently in the wild. Keep your eyes open, as there’s a chance that you’ll encounter Shiny Pidgey and Shiny Rattata! Additionally, other Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region will be available to challenge in Raid Battles.

Pikachu and Eevee are also getting in on the fun! These two Pokémon (wearing special flower crowns) can be discovered in the wild and as Field Research rewards during this limited-time event. What better way to spend Pokémon Day than by heading out on a Pokémon journey of your own?
