Team GO Rocket PokéStops and Shadow Pokémon have returned to Pokémon GO in greater numbers

Pokémon GO was recently updated to implement a new batch of features, including Team GO Rocket and Shadow Pokémon:

New Challenges: Take on Team GO Rocket Grunts in battle.
Shadow Pokémon: Catch the mysterious Shadow Pokémon Team GO Rocket Grunts leave behind.
Shadow Pokémon have a purple aura and bloodshot red eyes.
Shadow Pokémon can be purified using Stardust and Candy. Purification helps Shadow Pokémon become more powerful.
Shadow Pokémon can be found hanging around discolored PokéStops.
Team GO Rocket PokéStops and Shadow Pokémon can now be found in Pokémon GO in greater numbers.

Professor Willow has noticed that sightings of discolored PokéStops and Pokémon enshrouded in a shadowy aura have…suddenly stopped? 🤔 🔍 Hmm… This phenomenon keeps getting more troubling the more we investigate it. 😨

After taking a closer look with Spark, Professor Willow reported that Pokémon with some sort of mysterious aura were hanging around these discolored PokéStops. We hope they can get to the bottom of this! pic.twitter.com/MfzWa73WPN
