Official release notes updated for Pokémon GO version 0.167 and 0.133 on Android and iOS

Pokémon GO has been updated to a new version across all capable iOS and Android devices. Version 1.133.1 and 0.167.1 is being rolled out to iOS and Android devices, respectively. According to patch notes from the development team at Niantic, the latest update implements various bug fixes and improvements for an overall smoother experience.

What’s New in Version 1.133.1 (iOS)

  • In this update, we’re excited to announce more changes focusing on Trainer Battles!
  • Over the next couple of weeks, you’ll see some changes in Pokémon GO’s various combat systems.

  • With the player’s permission, Adventure Sync uses the Health app to enable the player to earn walking distance when the app is closed.

Updates

  • Updated Trainer Profile to reflect more information under “Total Activity”
  • Pokémon name is now shown in evolution animation sequence
  • Left/right scroll arrows have been removed during Pokémon appraisals if the user is appraising the first or last available Pokémon

Bug Fixes

  • PokéStops now accurately show the addition of Lures
  • Fixed sorting by CP per Pokémon in Pokémon Storage
  • Fixed issue in which recent News would sometimes not appear on in-app News page
  • Fixed issue in which opponent Pokémon would occasionally visually return to its Poké Ball during a Trainer Battle or GO Battle League match
  • GO Battle League rewards now provide an inventory management option when trying to claim item or Pokémon encounter rewards with a full Bag or Pokémon storage
  • Fixed issue in which GO Battle League required distance to unlock a Battle set would round up for the last 0.05km
