Changes to some sync pairs’ Level Cap unlock items will be made in Pokémon Masters EX on October 29 at 11 p.m. PT

Pokémon Masters EX, the strategy and battling Pokémon game for mobile platforms, is now available for download on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). In celebration of the game’s popularity, special in-game events and rewards are being offered for all players to take part in on a regular basis. Read on below to learn more:

Changes to Some Sync Pairs’ Level Cap Unlock Items

As part of the update to Ver. 2.2.0 scheduled for the end of October 2020, some changes will be made to the items needed to unlock level caps for the Sync Pairs that can be obtained via Legendary Events.

Applicable Sync Pairs

  • Giovanni & Mewtwo
  • Player Character & Solgaleo
  • Zinnia & Rayquaza
  • Silver & Ho-Oh
  • Cyrus & Palkia


You will be able to train the Sync Pairs from Legendary Events with the same types of level cap unlock items used for regular Sync Pairs, such as Great Buff Blend, Ultra Buff Blend, etc.

Also, custom items for training those Sync Pairs that you have already obtained can be exchanged for other items in the Exchange Items menu starting from the following date.

  • You can access the Exchange Items menu by going to Shop > Exchange Items > General.
  • The new item requirements following the changes can be found on each individual menu screen when selecting each sync pair.
  • The featured content is subject to change without notice.
