A Picture-Perfect New Pokémon Snap Celebration in Pokémon GO
From April 29 to May 2, celebrate New Pokémon Snap with themed research, avatar items, featured Pokémon appearing in the wild, and more.
Every moment catching, training, and battling with Pokémon is worth capturing. Celebrate the April 30 release of New Pokémon Snap with a Pokémon GO event that puts the spotlight on photography and the artistry of being a Pokémon Trainer. From Thursday, April 29, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time to Sunday, May 2, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time, the New Pokémon Snap Celebration will give you an opportunity to complete event-exclusive photography-themed research tasks and encounter Pokémon featured in New Pokémon Snap, such as Venusaur, Dodrio, and Skarmory.
Since Smeargle loves popping up in Trainers’ snapshots, the Painter Pokémon will be making several appearances throughout the New Pokémon Snap Celebration. If you’re lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Smeargle during the event.
Camera-themed avatar items will be available at no cost in the Style Shop, so you’ll be able to look the part during your photography adventures.
Don’t forget to stay focused!
