Nintendo explains what DLC is available for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

New DLC called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero has been revealed for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Read on below to learn more:

Pokémon Scarlet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero and Pokémon Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero are each available for $34.99 USD, which include two new areas to explore. In Part 1: The Teal Mask, a school trip will take you to the land of Kitakami, where you’ll be joining an outdoors study opportunity held jointly between your academy and another school. In Part 2: The Indigo Disk, you’ll be traveling to Blueberry Academy, a sister school of your own academy, as an exchange student. Get ready to meet new Pokémon and people beyond the borders of the Paldea region! You’ll also be able to encounter over 230 familiar Pokémon that have been found living in other regions but which had not appeared in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Different Pokemon appear on the two different games – trade with friends to collect them all!

  • Pokémon Scarlet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is only compatible with the Pokémon Scarlet game and Pokémon Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is only compatible with the Pokémon Violet game. The same DLC cannot be used for both games.
  • Players that purchase the DLC also immediately receive additional bonuses for the compatible game:
    • The New Uniform Set, apparel items you can use to customize your character. The New Uniform Set includes uniforms for spring, summer, autumn, and winter. To receive the items in-game, press the X Button to open the menu, and select Downloadable Content.
    • A bonus code for a Hisuian Zoroark, which can be redeemed using the in-game Mystery Gift feature. Check your Nintendo eShop receipt for your bonus codes.
  • DLC packs are only available as part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. They are not available for individual purchase.
  • Once The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is purchased by one player on the system, the DLC will also be available to the other players on the system using the same game.

The following DLC packs are included in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.

  • Part 1: The Teal Mask: Releasing fall 2023.
  • Part 2: The Indigo Disk: Releasing winter 2023.

The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet DLC, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, is coming in two parts later this year. Part 1: The Teal Mask has you visiting the land of Kitakami on a school trip and will be released in fall 2023. Part 2: The Indigo Disk will see you become an exchange student at Blueberry Academy and is slated for winter 2023. During these adventures, you’ll encounter some familiar Pokémon that you hadn’t seen in Paldea, as well as the newly discovered Legendary Pokémon, Ogerpon and Terapagos.

You can purchase the version of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero that matches your game version now on Nintendo eShop. When you do, you’ll get the New Uniform Set to give your character some new outfits, and as an early-purchase bonus, you’ll receive a code that allows you to claim a special Hisuian Zoroark for your in-game team.

The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero for Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet is coming! You’ll be able to adventure for even longer and delve even deeper into the world of Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet with this paid additional content.

The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero includes a New Uniform Set, made up of new apparel items that you can use at once in your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game, and two DLC expansions. These are Part 1: The Teal Mask and Part 2: The Indigo Disk. While this tale is split into two parts, they link together to tell a connected story.​
