Niantic has resolved the issue where Pokémon GO froze after a few moments of playing on iPhone after updating to version 279.3

Niantic has updated the official Known Issues support page for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:

iOS users experience intermittent freezing

Issue description: After updating to version 279.3, Pokémon GO freezes after a few moments of playing for some Trainers using an iPhone.
Workaround: This issue is resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling Pokémon GO.

Mega Rayquaza not providing additional damage boosts when in a Raid Battle Party

Issue details: When included in a Raid Battle Party but not currently battling, Mega Rayquaza is not granting additional damage boosts to Flying-, Psychic-, and Dragon-type Pokémon.
Issue Status: Resolved in an upcoming release

Shadow Hisuian Sneasel and Shadow Sneasler do not feature Shadow Effects

Issue Description: Shadow Hisuian Sneasel and Shadow Sneasler do not feature the purple shadow effect despite being caught in Shadow Raids. Due to other issues this may cause, they will not be eligible to participate in GO Battle League at this time, even if they otherwise meet the criteria.

Resolution: Working on a fix.

Some Trainers see incorrect or missing visuals when battling.
Issue description: Some Trainers battling may see incorrect or missing visuals if their device has not yet downloaded assets after a new update.
Issue status: Investigating. Please use the “download all assets” feature in the settings menu to mitigate this issue.
 
Berries and balls cannot be changed when encountering an Ultra Beast.
Issue description: Some Trainers do not see the ability to change berries or balls when encountering an Ultra Beast in GO Battle League.
Issue status: Investigating.
