The ongoing Pokémon and Hatsune Miku collaboration has created amazing songs and artwork.
Our friends from Ilustradoras Unidas, the organizers of Pokédex Ilustrada, have been inspired by Project Voltage and joined in the hype with their own art collaboration called Entrenador Vocaloid (Vocaloid Trainer).
“Vocaloid and Pokémon are franchises that have accompanied us since childhood and adolescence,” the admins of Ilustradoras Unidas told Pokémon Blog. “With the Pokémon x Hatsune Miku Voltage Project, we were highly motivated to imagine ‘What would happen if other Vocaloid characters were Pokémon trainers?’ We gave free rein to our imagination as we created teams inspired by either the Vocaloid character or the Pokémon’s appearance and the interactions they would have based on their personalities. We were very impressed by the passion of the artists.”
18 artists participated in Vocaloid Trainer.
According to them, the best part of this art collaboration was incorporating Pokémon elements into the Vocaloid’s attire, accessories, and hairstyle to make them match.
Music also played an important role, as iconic songs helped to connect these two franchises effortlessly.
