Niantic has updated an official known issues support page for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:

Issue Description: Some Avatar poses are currently unavailable in Pokémon GO. Any pose that was purchased or was a reward will be returned to your account.

Issue status: Fixed in upcoming 309 release
