New events and content are continuing to be announced for Pokémon GO on a regular basis. Read on below to learn more:

Kingambit Debuts in Pokémon GO, Leads the Way for Crown Costume Nidoqueen and Nidoking

An event fit for royalty—Trainers, don your crowns and prepare for Raid Battles.

Sharpen your blades, Trainers! The Crown Clash event is on the horizon, bringing special event bonuses and the Pokémon GO debut of the Big Blade Pokémon, Kingambit. Plus, the royal-costumed duo Nidoqueen and Nidoking, each wearing crowns, will appear for the first time. This regal event runs from May 10, at 10:00 a.m. to May 18 at 8:00 p.m. local time.

• 2× XP for evolving Pokémon
• Increased chance to encounter Shiny Nidoqueen wearing a crown, Shiny Nidoking wearing a crown, Shiny Slowpoke, Shiny Combee, and Shiny Litleo
• Catching Slowpoke may award you a King’s Rock

Get your Poké Balls ready to catch the following Pokémon, which are appearing more frequently in the wild.

• Slowpoke
• Slakoth
• Piplup
• Combee
• Snivy
• Litleo
• Pawniard

Kingambit cannot be found in the wild during this event, but you can evolve Bisharp into one! To evolve Bisharp, defeat 15 Dark- or Steel-type Pokémon in Raid Battles while Bisharp is your Buddy Pokémon. Don’t have a Bisharp yet? No problem! Pokémon GO has a special Pokémon Alert feature you can use to alert you to Pawniard nearby—and there should be plenty, with this event’s boosted appearance rate. Once you catch a Pawniard, you can evolve it into Bisharp. After that, you’re ready to bring Bisharp along as your buddy and start conquering Raid Battles.

Raids

During the Crown Clash event, you’ll have the opportunity to take on event-themed raids! The following Pokémon will appear in One-Star Raids.

• Sneasel
• Klink
• Pawniard

These Pokémon will appear in Three-Star Raids.

• Nidoking wearing a crown
• Nidoqueen wearing a crown

If you’re lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny one of the Pokémon listed here.

Collection Challenge

Show off the spoils of glory with the incoming Collection Challenge, which starts in tandem with the Crown Clash event. Complete the catch- and Evolution-focused Collection Challenge to receive XP, Stardust, and an encounter with Pawniard. Additionally, Trainers level 31 and up will receive one guaranteed Candy XL for evolving Pokémon once they complete the Collection Challenge.

Field Research Tasks

By completing Field Research tasks that become available during Crown Clash, you’ll earn encounters with event-themed Pokémon. Try your best to complete as many as you can!

Complete the catch- and Evolution-focused Collection Challenge to receive XP, Stardust, and an encounter with Pawniard. Additionally, Trainers Level 31 and up will receive one guaranteed Candy XL for evolving Pokémon after completing the Collection Challenge.

Track Pokémon

If you are still missing Pawniard or other Pokémon, try using the recently released Pokémon Alert feature, which enables Trainers to track a Pokémon.* When a tracked Pokémon is nearby, Trainers with Pokémon Alert will receive a notification.

*Pokémon Alert only tracks Pokémon that can be found in the wild.
