Detective Pikachu movie to be penned by Guardians of the Galaxy and Gravity Falls writers

The recently-announced Detective Pikachu movie has secured two prominent writers. The forthcoming film will be penned by Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch of Guardians of the Galaxy and Gravity Falls, respectively, according to Variety. Not much is known about the movie, but production is on track to begin sometime in 2017.
