First screenshot of the Legendary Zapdos as a Raid Boss at Pokémon GO Gym

Time has run out to find and catch Moltres in the wild in Pokémon GO. This Legendary Pokémon that represents Team Valor has officially been replaced today, August 7, by Zapdos – the Electric/Flying mascot for Team Instinct. Akin to Articuno and Moltres before it, Zapdos will only be available for one week. To view the first screenshot of Zapdos appearing as a Raid Boss at a Pokémon GO Gym, check out the image above. The battle periods for all three Legendary bird Pokémon are as follows:

  • Articuno (Team Mystic) released on Saturday, July 22 and available through Monday, July 31.
  • Moltres (Team Valor) to be released on Monday, July 31 and available through Monday, August 7.
  • Zapdos (Team Instinct) to be released on Monday, August 7 and available through Monday, August 14.
