The Pokémon Company International is continuing its worldwide celebration of the 1,000th episode of Pokémon the Series, the iconic animated television series that premiered nearly 20 years ago. Chronicling the ongoing adventures of Ash and Pikachu alongside their many companions, Pokémon the Series has taken viewers to a variety of different regions, islands, cities, and towns in the Pokémon world. The 1,000th episode is part of the latest season, Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon—Ultra Adventures, set in the tropical Alola region. The Pokémon Company is commemorating this Pokémon anime milestone by sharing theme songs from different story arcs over the years – including Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos and Alola in Italian.
