Tatsumi Kimishima has stepped down as the president of Nintendo, a position he filled after Satoru Iwata passed away nearly three years ago. Kimishima was officially replaced Shuntaro Furukawa today, June 28, 2018. Meanwhile, Satoru Shibata has also retired his role as the president of Nintendo of Europe. Shibata has instead moved to Japan to become a member of the board of directors for Nintendo Co., Ltd. He is also now Outside Director for The Pokémon Company.
