First trailer for new Pokémon anime series Pocket Monsters will premiere alongside special episode on November 10 in Japan

The upcoming Pokémon anime series is simply called Pocket Monsters, a direct reference to when the anime first began back in 1997. The setting takes place in all Pokémon regions to date, including Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola and Unova. Ash and Pikachu are returning alongside a new trainer named Go and his partner Scorbunny. Go is described as a 10-year-old boy who’s aim is to catch the Mythical Pokémon Mew, which he remembers meeting when he was younger. He typically has a calm demeanor but also has a tendency to be hot-blooded. Meanwhile, Team Rocket has been confirmed to return; this includes Jessie, James, Meowth and Wobbuffet. The series will officially premiere on November 17, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. JST. Important info about the new anime series will be revealed during the final episode of Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon in Japan on November 3. Meanwhile, the first trailer for the new series will premiere alongside a special episode on November 10.
