The 1,000th episode of Pokémon the Series aired earlier today, April 28, the U.S. Chronicling the fantastic adventures of Ash and Pikachu alongside their many friends and companions, the iconic animated television series that premiered nearly 20 years ago has taken viewers to a variety of different regions, islands, cities and towns in the Pokémon world. The 1,000th episode is part of the latest season, Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon—Ultra Adventures, set in the tropical Alola region.
The episode is a memorable one, as it features something not yet seen in the beloved series—a wedding! This special episode of Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon—Ultra Adventures is now airing on Disney XD, and it’s available on demand and on the DisneyNOW app in the U.S. on Saturday. The Pokémon Company is celebrating its 1,000th episode of Pokémon the Series in various ways, such as sharing theme songs from different story arcs over the years – including Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos and finally Alola. The Pokémon Company is also now sharing Pokémon the Series facts and special GIFs via social media, as well as a new promo consisting of various little-known facts:
